This talk will analyse the threats of co-optation of the CN narrative using as a main example recent blockchain-based solutions and making the analogy with AirBnB, which co-opted the \"sharing economy\" narrative built through initiatives like couch surfing. Recent debates around the definition of a Community Network which took place in the context of the netCommons project and ISOC\'s CNSIG will be put in context. Hopefully an open discussion could help to build a consensus of the battlemesh community on these important issues for the future of CNs. A related blog entry is available here.
